March 2011 - -Each year in the early spring we head towards Alvin, Texas to Froberg's Vegetable and Fruit Farm. This year was no exception. The kids really got into picking the berries this year, Catherine perhaps more into eating them...! But they both had their own bucket and their rain boots on too and looked sweet amongst the bright red berries.
Poor little Jacob ran ahead of us at the end and somehow tripped over nothing(?) and ended up
sprawled in the dirt with his pail 
full of berries spilled in the path. He was so upset, but I explained we had to wash them anyhow and then we helped him re-collect his berries. 
We concluded the morning with lunch near the railroad tracks under an old and enormous oak tree on the farm grounds.
